(UN)VEILED

A hint of mist to bring ambiguity to the canvas. A veil casting a shadow, dimming the light. Even obscurity is given texture when organza is superimposed. Night is enveloped in a cocoon of tulle, while day is wrapped in mystery. A game opposing darkness to diaphanous. Curves become a guiding principle, contours are blurred.

Transparency nourishes ambiguity. Are we choosing to reveal or to conceal a hint of skin under a silk veil? In imagining we find a clear aesthetic. While fabric covers and reveals at the same time, seduction is given elegance. Opting for a trompe-l’oeil garment means being part of the enigma.

Dress, jacket, jumpsuit? There is no right answer. Only good questions.
