“Very early on, I knew I had to perfect certain skills in order to expand and gain freedom and independence. I realised very quickly that in order to be present amongst the Fashion elite, I had to build a team and the infrastructures to nurture these talents.

In the present situation, I feel like I have to live up to even higher standards; many designers will not survive this crisis as many will be hurt beyond possible recovery. I never imagined that leadership would be so crucial. More than ever, the human aspect has to be at the center of all decisions.

Sadly, I had to temporarily layoff many people in the last weeks, and all I’m thinking about is when and how I’ll be able to get them back to work and thank them one by one for the amazing work they produce everyday.

Even if, for most of us, it’s a time to pause and reset, I have to see the future and remain optimistic. With a reduced team, I have to make sure that we stay in business. On a daily basis, we must connect, disconnect and reconnect all moving parts very carefully since all partners, suppliers and clients are facing the same challenges.
