We are at a time of pause and questioning; after more than 15 years of intense mass globalisation, communities around the world are re-evaluating the way they consume. Buying locally has become a topic on everyone’s lips, and at the heart of it all, is the notion of sustainability.

Over the last 35 years, Maison Marie Saint Pierre has deployed a full 360-degree chain of operations and production, allowing the company to produce orders skilfully and intelligently. We only produce on a “made-to-order” business model as to cancel out over-stocked inventory, thus reducing waste and eliminating the need to destroy non-sold or defective inventory. This mantra also steeps down into our full chain of supply, from development to production. We privilege partnerships with businesses that are ethical, sustainable, vertical and family-owned. Our fabric sourcing is mainly done in Italy, France and Japan, as their practises are transparent and in line with our values. These mills put quality and innovation at the forefront, allowing us to develop new state-of-the-art materials together. On the production floor as well as during development, our talented team of artisans and seamstresses make sure that all processes are optimized in order to maintain the lowest waste ratio possible.

The House also prides itself in offering an environment that promotes sustainable behaviour and practises. Staffing over 70 people, all our spaces are equipped with full kitchens and free flowing coffee, in order to reduce waste lead by paper and plastic cups and plates. Our team members feel comfortable in an environment that promotes creativity and expression, making it easier for us as a company to lead our many missions into the future.
