Archives / Fall 14

Inspired by contradictory tensions, this season is dedicated to finding a precise balance between material, weight and volume. The Fall 2014 collection of the Maison Marie Saint Pierre exudes a dense lightness. Composed of rather masculine pieces, the materials of the collection speak with their bodies, respond to the hands and challenge the senses. Silk and sequins reveal silhouettes, while jerseys that are both fluid and structured create body and movement.

The collection, rich in construction details, allows the fusion of materials opposed by their weight and fall. Ultra-light and fluid materials such as silk georgette crepe, wool jersey and puffy knitwear are combined with corseting and volumizing materials.

It is the balance between these that constitute the movement.
