Redefining the Traditional Woman

Lifestyle and culture magazine I AM MARIE celebrated the unveiling of its premiere issue. The core principles of the magazine are based on inspiration from the 18thth century Enlightenment Age; a time when women were encouraged to embrace independence and offer knowledge and insight to others. During this time, intellectuals and visionaries created salons, or gatherings of like-minded individuals under one roof, hosted by leaders of the movement including philosophes such as Madame Geoffrin and Madame de Tencin.

The I AM MARIE project brings back this tradition with a modern approach, providing a digital platform for a global audience. Its goal is to encourage women of various industries and interests to come together and share insight, experience and advice with each other. The I AM MARIE woman is an entrepreneur, an explorer, a philanthropist, an art collector, a filmmaker, a writer of both poetry and fiction and a self-aware style icon. Join her as she invites the most inspiring women and their ideas into her digital home

To commemorate the unveiling of Issue 1, I AM MARIE hosted a private evening at the Lower East Side’s infamous cabaret, THE BOX. An all female line up of DJ’s featuring the musical creative geniuses of Palina La Diva, Alix Brown and Lola Langusta.
