Photo session for the Spring 2021 collection against the backdrop of painter Jean-Paul Riopelle's studio and a tribute to Joan Mitchell.

"Built in the 70's in the Laurentians, Jean-Paul Riopelle's studio was an extension of our family home, rich in personal memories and a place of many meetings. Today, this place remains at once mystical, human and inspiring thanks to the care of Huguette Vachon, the artist's last partner, whom I would like to thank for allowing us to use the space for this project."

"The internationally renowned multidisciplinary artist has greatly influenced Marie both through his work and his free and irreverent spirit. "Jean-Paul taught me to respect beauty and craftsmanship. Because of his anti-conformist nature, he has always surrounded himself with women with a strong personality, passionate and independent”.

"It was at the end of the 70's at Riopelle's atelier that Marie first met Jean-Paul's companion, the American artist Joan Mitchell. "During our first meeting at a dinner party she suggested that I be adopted, go to Europe with her and be educated in an more artistic environment. I think it was a revenge because my parents had somehow stolen Jean-Paul from her by bringing him back to Canada".
"This exceptional woman, an expressionist painter with an androgynous style, appeared to me as a vision of the new femininity. Her influence in the world of contemporary art, her wild but generous attitude and especially her presence illustrated this committed and resilient woman whom I love to dress and who remains for me my main source of inspiration".
