Sous Zéro

In 2004, Marie Saint Pierre created the fund Sous Zéro with the mission to provide underprivileged kids on the Island of Montreal, all the necessary clothing to play outside in the long winter months. Since its creation, the fund has attracted many volunteers and sponsors and distributed new snow suits, boots, hats and mittens to more than 4,350 kids.

At the beginning of each school year, the children receiving the clothes are carefully selected by school directors, who submit their request to the community center Hochelaga-Maisonneuve which is responsible for the distribution of the clothes.

The community center also collects funds on behalf of Sous Zéro all year-round.
